Funeral services for Quincy Faye Carter Matthews Collins, age 85, of Grenada, are at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Mortimer National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Grenada Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. at Mortimer National Funeral Home.

Faye died Sunday, July 9, 2017 at her home.

She was born on December 23, 1931 in Big Creek, Mississippi and was the daughter of the late Quincy Carter and Olive Pearl Whitworth Carter.

Faye was a housewife and a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Grenada. She enjoyed working in her yard and in her garden.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Hugh (Rooster) Matthews and Bobby Lee Collins; four sisters, Sybil Marter, Mary Alice Carpenter, Martha Jean McCormick and Wilma Carter; three brothers, Bobby Jack Carter, F.L. Carter, and Gerald Carter; and one grandson, Jeremy Matthew Dunn.

She is survived by three daughters, Leatha Collins of Grenada, Sharon Dunn and her husband, Boots, of Grenada, and Marilyn Curtis and her husband, Jim, of Cedar Hills, Texas; two sisters, Alma June Brandon of Coffeeville, and Janelle Jarrell of Power Springs, Georgia; three grandchildren, Jason Dunn, Ben Curtis and Noelle Curtis Rodgers and her husband, Matthew; and one great-grandchild, Austin Lee Dunn.

Mortimer National Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
