James David Osborne, age 87, of Wittensville died Sunday March 6, 2022 in Stanford, KY. He was born January 13, 1935 in Paintsville to the late Walter and Ethel Castle Osborne. On March 2, 1959 in Johnson County he married Willa Dean Osborne who preceded him in death on May 23, 2006. Additionally preceding him in death is one son: James Clay Osborne; four sisters: Marie Lula (John) Burns, Dorothy (Les) Rose, Goldie (Wallace) Adams, Hermalee (Junior) Murphy; three brothers: Walter (Dorothy) Osborne, Buel (Norma) Osborne, and Ruel Osborne. Survivors include one son: Jimmy (Kathy) Osborne; one daughter: Lois Ann (Harry) Butcher; one sister- in- law: Wanda Osborne; along with several grand children and great grandchildren. James was a member of the Tom's Creek Free Will Baptist Church, an avid outdoorsman, and a former heavy equipment operator for Rebel Coal and Adams Construction. Visitation is scheduled on Monday at the Preston Funeral Home from 1 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Tuesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Tuesday in the chapel of the Preston Funeral Home with James Kelly Caudill officiating. Interment to follow at the Lakeview Memorial Cemetery in Staffordsville.
