Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Eunice Kaye, she was a lifelong resident of Little Compton. Prior to her retirement in 1987, she was a secretary for Globe Manufacturing in Fall River. She was a member of the Little Compton United Congregational Church, where she served as secretary of the church auction for many years. An avid animal lover she loved her pet cat Lexie and her son's dog Dozer. Mrs. Buckley enjoyed knitting, going to the beach, going out to eat, gardening and getting her hair done.
Survivors include a son: Bryan L. Gomez of Little Compton; two daughters: Kathy A. Waite and her husband Douglas of Tiverton and Donna I. Silva of Little Compton; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
