Sean P. Riordan age 29 of Port Jervis, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Port Jervis. He was born on November 11, 1987 in Port Jervis, NY the son of Stephen and Jerilyn O’Connell Riordan. Sean worked for the City of Port Jervis Department of Public Works. He was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Port Jervis and a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree, Council #471, Port Jervis. Sean had many interests in life. He enjoyed the outdoors whether it be hunting with his brothers, riding his quad, searching for Indian artifacts or merely taking his dog Asia for a walk. A self taught musician he spent countless hours learning songs on his electric and acoustic guitars. But he was most happy when he was surrounded by his family and friends of whom he was fiercely loyal. He will be remembered for his unselfish acts of love and kindness towards others. He is survived by his parents Stephen and Jerilyn Riordan at home, his brothers, Matthew Riordan and his wife Jessie of Port Jervis, Timothy Riordan and his wife Lynzee of Port Jervis, his maternal grandmother Linda O’Connell of Port Jervis, his nephew Liam Riordan, several cousins, aunts and uncles. He was pre-deceased by his maternal grandfather Richard O’Connell and his paternal grandparents Joseph and Teresa Riordan. Visitation will be held 2-6 PM Sunday, July 23, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Knights of Columbus will conduct services Sunday afternoon at 4 PM at the funeral home. Prayers will be offered 9:15 AM Monday, July 24 at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Port Jervis. Rev. Matthew Newcomb will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY. Arrangements are by the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.
