Earl and Cleta (Marie Stuart) were married April 8, 1940. Earl began his career path in farming. In 1956, he transitioned to a long and successful career with Missouri Farmer's Association managing grain elevators located in Barnard and Guilford. Earl enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, bowling, golf and watching sports.
Earl is survived by two sisters Anna Helen Teson and Rita Teson; three sons, Harold Heflin (Glenda) , Kearney, MO, Edwin Heflin (Nancy), Janesville, WI, Leland Heflin (Barb), Bloomington, IN and one daughter, Iretha Heflin Spinetti (Robert), Kingwood, TX; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and many additional family members.
Earl is preceded in death by his parents Earl, Sr. and Anna Cain, his wife Cleta (October 27, 2005), two brothers John D. and Francis, and five sisters Hilda Schieber; Elizabeth Heflin, Marcela Berg, Mary Schmitz, and Theresa Sullivan.
Rosary will be said at 6:30 PM Sunday, July 23, 2017, followed by visitation from 7-8 PM, both at St. Gregory's Barbarigo Catholic Church, Maryville.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 AM Monday July 24th, also at the Church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maryville.
