He was born September 25, 1945 in Lumberton, NC and grew up in Dublin.
Larry was a graduate of Elizabethtown High School and UNC Pembroke.
He was a school teacher for twelve years and an independent insurance agent for 30 years.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed carpentry, repair projects and cooking with local friends.
He was an active member of Beth Car Church. He loved life and lived it to the fullest and was always willing to help anyone, anytime.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents Hilton and Alma Britt and his brother Danny Britt.
He is survived by his wife Robah, son Hunter Britt (wife Suzanne), sister Peggy Cooper, a number of sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 6-8 pm on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 4 pm at Beth Car Presbyterian Church in Tar Heel,NC followed by the interment at Allen Cemetery on Highway 87 in Tar Heel.
