Robert J. Meisenheimer, age 85, of Jefferson passed away at his home Tuesday January 6, 2015. He was born in West Allis, WI, son of the late Raymond and Rose (Leek) Meisenheimer. Bob graduated from Nathan Hale High School in West Allis in 1947; he served as his class president.

In 1950 he married Margaret Lynch with whom he had three children. They later divorced.
On March 19, 1983 he married Elizabeth Pizzini (nee Makarewicz) at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Kenosha.

As a young man Bob joined Meisenheimer Plumbing, West Allis, WI, to work in the family business, eventually becoming a master plumber. He later worked for the State of Wisconsin for 27 years as a plumbing consultant, retiring in 1996. That same year he & Elizabeth moved to Clovis, NM, where he ranched and cowboyed for 15 years. Bob took up team roping at age 67 and participated in many senior rodeo roping events. He also ran a horse motel operation on his property.

After a diagnosis of Alzheimer's Bob and his wife moved back to Jefferson in 2011 for family support Bob was an avid horseman, duck hunter, dog trainer, licensed farrier and gun enthusiast. He was devoted to his catholic faith, country and family.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson, the Knights of Columbus, St. Francis of Assisi, Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, NM, the National Rifle Association, American Farrier Association and The United States Team Roping Championship Association.

Bob is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" for 32 years of Jefferson; son Patrick (Kay) Meisenheimer of Dousman, WI, grandson Blake (Angela) Meisenheimer and great grandson PJ "Patrick Joseph" of St. Charles, IL and grandson Brent Meisenheimer of Oshkosh, WI, daughter Mary Meisenheimer of Fort Meyers FL; son Gregory (Becky) Meisenheimer and grandsons Tyler & Matthew of Billings, MT.

Stepson David (Gerri) Pizzini and grandson Dante of LaCrescent, MN, stepson Robert (Julie) Pizzini and grandchildren Dominic & Daniela of Virginia Beach, VA. Adopted daughter Susan (Keith) Miller, granddaughters Brittney & Brooklyn Fritz and step grandchildren Bryce & Morgan Miller of Jefferson, WI.

Interment will be in the Texico Cemetery in Texico, NM.
