She died in 1961 at College Park Hospital after complications from a cholecystectomy.
She is buried in a crypt at Greenwood Cemetery, San Diego.This is the same cemetery where her grandparents Margaret Jane and Andrew Jackson Finley are buried. Several other relatives also are at rest at Greenwood.
