Daughter of the late Robert Burns and the late Shirley Lewis Burns.
Karen was a Daycare Operator since 1974.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Gerald "Jerry" Bennett; two sons, Gerald Bennett, Jr. and wife Angela, and Timothy Bennett and wife Melissa; one daughter, Cynthia Rhinehart and husband Richard; two brothers, Harry Burns, and Wesley Burns and his wife Kathy; four sisters, Patricia McDermott and husband George, Sharon Tayman, Kathy Burns-Kobel and husband Kevin, and Deborah Tarbox and husband Bernie. Also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Friends received on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at First Baptist Church of St. Charles, 136 Stoddert Avenue, Waldorf, MD 20602, where Funeral Services will also be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
