Gary R. Ashford, 68, Salina, died Thursday Sept. 14,2006.
Mr. Ashford was born Jan. 12,1938, in Paragould, Ark. He was an insurance agent for Banker's Life and Casualty for 26 years, retiring in 1992.
He married Angela Henry on Dec. 30,1989, in Salina.
He was a member of American Legion Post 62, Sons of the American Legion and First Christian Church, La-Belle, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William B. and Mary A. Ashford; and a brother, Larry.
Survivors include his wife, Angela, of Salina; a son, Chris of Kirksville, Mo.; two daughters, Teresa Kriegshauser of Lewistown, Mo., and Angela Reed of Prairie Village; the mother of his children, Bonnie Ashford, of LaBelle, Mo.; two brothers, Mack of Brookland, Ark., and Bill of Paragould; two sisters, Mary Ann Cole of Walnut Ridge, Ark., and Judy K. Dacus of Paragould; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and two stepgreat-grandsons.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veteran's Association.
