Adelle Brown Newman of Waco passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015, in a local hospital.
She was born in Haralson County, April 29, 1920, daughter of the late Lester Jones Brown and Leona Bagwell Brown.
Mrs. Newman was retired from the Arrow Company, where she worked in the payroll department and was a member of the Waco United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar William "Bill" Newman Jr.; a brother, W. A. Brown; and a sister, Kathleen Wagnon.
Survivors include her children: a son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Cheryl Newman, Waco; three daughters and sons-in-law, Freida and Larry Miller of Waco, Rebecca and Vince Cammarata of Auburn, Alabama, Teresa and Doug Roles of Lawrenceville; 11 grandchildren, Chad Newman of Knoxville, Tennessee, Cheryl Cooper, Chattanooga, Tennessee, Alison Pate, Chattanooga, Tennessee, Rebecca Roles, Lawrenceville, William Douglas Roles, Lawrenceville, Lauren (Roles) and Brian Brown, Roswell, Amy Harrison, Bremen, Cody Miller, Waco, Jessica Dean, Auburn, Alabama and Joseph Dean, Opelika, Alabama; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet Noble of Tallapoosa (deceased 2017); two sisters-in-law, Mauntez Brown and Mary Newman Fike; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 15, from 1 to 2 p.m.
Memorial Services will be Sunday, February 15, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home.
