Phillip Craig Henderson was born on Christmas day, December 25, 1969 to Phil Henderson and Linda Dennis Tittle in Opelika, Alabama. He lived most of his life in the southern states, and after graduating from high school he joined the United States Marine Corps. He met the love of his life, Caroline Martinez, in 1992 while still serving.

Craig and Caroline met in Pearland through a mutual friend and later married on June 25, 1993 in Pearland, Texas. Once Craig was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, he and Caroline lived in Houston for a short period of time before purchasing their first home in Pearland, where they resided for 21 years. Craig and Caroline raised all three of their beautiful children in that home on Leggett Lane, where they shared countless memories and served the Lord.

In September of 2016 the family purchased a home with some land in Huntsville, Texas. Craig loved the country and enjoyed spending time watching the wildlife on their property, as well as gardening and working on their land. He also enjoyed making new friends at their churches in both Huntsville and Madisonville.

Craig has a beautiful daughter, the light of his life, Caitlin Adrianna Henderson, age 21, a wonderful, strong son, William Kyle Henderson, age 19, and an athletic and charismatic son, Phillip Christian Henderson, age 16.

Craig Henderson loved the Lord, adored his family, served his country, always kept his word, lived his life through Biblical principles and was a strong, fearless, Bible believing, God-fearing man that instilled those strong Christian beliefs into his wife, children and everyone he met and spoke with. Craig loved to talk, was never at a loss for words and never met a stranger. He could also tell a person’s character by a simple handshake.

Craig is preceded in death by his grandfather, Sidney Dewey Dennis, his father, Phil Henderson and step-father Al Tittle. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Caroline, his children Adrianna, Kyle and Christian, his mother, Linda Tittle, his brother Sean Henderson and wife Liz, his sister, Crystal Hartmaier and husband Ryan, his brother, Bradley Henderson and wife Jessica, his step-mother, Anne Henderson, his step-sister, Beth Lloyd and husband Blake, as well as five nephews, four nieces, numerous beloved Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.

Craig Henderson will be greatly missed here on earth, but our comfort through his passing is knowing that he is, in fact, in Heaven with Jesus, rejoicing with our Heavenly Father, his beloved family members previously passed, and talking to everyone he can for all eternity. Rest in peace our strong provider, and know that the Lord is very proud of his dear and faithful servant.

The service celebrating Craig’s life will be held at 4:00pm Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Niday Funeral Home – Beamer Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. He will be privately laid to rest at the Houston National Cemetery.
