Family and Friends will gather at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2017 to celebrate his life at Evergreen Baptist Church, 1305 Evergreen Church Road, Anderson, SC 29621 with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family is at 215 Bailey Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
Joe was born March 25, 1955 to the late William and Ruthell Evans Watson in Anderson, SC.
Joe is survived by his wife, Deborah Watson Smith; sons, James Kenneth Watson (Pete) of Fort Myers, FL. and Christopher Nicholas McDowell of Easley, SC; daughters, D. Laticia Watson and Denise Latimer both of Anderson, SC; eleven grandchildren ; brothers, Fred Watson, Mike Watson of Anderson,SC, Charles Watson (Dorothy) of Saint Augustine, FL., Douglas Watson ( Frances), John Watson ( Kristy) of Belton, SC; sisters, Thelma Watson of WareShoals, SC, Evelyn Watson and Arlene Quarrels of Belton,SC; two close friends, James Tate and Charles; and a host of uncles,aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kimberly McDowell and sister, Annie Lois McDowell.
