A memorial service for Cheryl Lynn Hill, 57, of Gainesville, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017, at Lilly Ridge General Baptist Church in Gainesville with Dale Roberts officiating. Ms. Hill died June 11 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

She was born Oct. 20, 1959, in Miami, Florida, the daughter of Norman and Roberta Burdine Campbell.

She graduated from Gainesville High School and then proudly served her country in the Army from 1977 to 1980. She earned a degree in criminal justice and was a paralegal for much of her life. She loved scrapbooking and spending time with her grandkids. She was a very loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her two sons, Justin Simmons and wife Tara, and Michael Foster, all of Gainesville; two grandchildren, Levi and Sara Simmons; two brothers, Dale Campbell and wife Vicki of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, and Tim Campbell and wife Susan of Gainesville; her stepfather Roy Simmons of Theodosia; and her lifetime best friend, Lisa Sullivan.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Roberta Simmons; her father, Norman Campbell; daughter Mindy Campbell; grandson Justin Allen Simmons; and infant brother Scotty Campbell.
