He attended Pocola Public Schools in Oklahoma until he graduated in 1984. He was retired but had worked several jobs, each showcasing his immense talents. He was a member of Union Missionary Baptist church. He devoted his life to family and to his loving friend and companion, Precious, his cat.
Survivors are, brother, Victor Dixon of Dallas, TX; daughter, Hally T. Dixon of Fort Smith, AR; great aunt, Francis Whitmore; aunts, Betty (Vernon) of Fort Caffee, OK, Lucille of Fort Smith, AR, Birta, Virgal Ann (Willie), Darlene (Brad), Rosie all of Pocola, OK; and a host other relatives and friends.
Visistation will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2017, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary, 611 N. 9th Street, Fort Smith. Graveside celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Laird Cemetery, Pocala, OK.
