Roy C. Parsons, 96, of Hudson, FL and formerly of Newbury, NH died December 4, 2016.

He was born on March 16, 1920 the son of Roy and Clara (Corse) Parsons.

He was a T-Sargent during WWII and spent three and a half years in the Pacific Islands. Roy returned to NH after the war and ran the Ice Business on Lake Todd and built Birch Lanes and Motel. On the side he sold Electrolux vacuum cleaners and was a real estate agent.

He had been President of the Lake Sunapee Board of Trade and was a member and Past Master of St. Peter's Masonic Lodge in Bradford and also was a Shriner.

In his later years, he lived on Morse Hill at Emily Lane and wintered in FL.

He is survived by his daugther, Louise (Parsons) Vallee; a son, Jim; a sister, Juanita Nolan of Warner, NH; nieces and nephews including Kim, Russell, Sandra, Juanita, Cindy, Beverly and Pauline.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Bradford Community Church with The Rev. Lynne Hubley, pastor, officiating. St. Peter's Lodge will participate and military honors will be conducted.
