Barbara Jean Bruce, 85, passed away peacefully from this life with family by her side March 15, 2017 at a Bangor hospital. She was born October 15, 1931 in Machias, the daughter of Forest and Sophie (Hill) Spencer. She enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw and crosswords puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald Bruce; a son Martin David, a granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann; three brothers, Joseph, Lewis "Peanut", and Stanley; two sisters, Esther Spencer and Betty Wright.
She is survived by her children, Daniel and Rebecca Look, Roger Look and Linda Behan, Gary and Janelle Look, Beverly and Gregory Holst, Peggy Look, Dwight and Norine Look, and daughter-in-law Brenda Look; a brother James Spencer; grandchildren, Martin, Alisa, John, Nicole, Christie, Steven, Billie Jean, Nathan and Jenna; great grandchildren, Rick, James, Hannah, Michael, Unique, Jacob, Thomas, Andrea, Connor, Colin, Mackenzie, Luke, Trenton, and Hunter; Great-great grandchildren, Aiden, Elijah and Rachel; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 25 at McClure Family Funeral Home, 467 Dublin Street, Machias.
