Death has claimed the life of Mrs. Patricia Ann Browning of Chanute, KS, formerly of Annville, PA. Mrs. Browning was born Patricia Ann Matthew, on September 26, 1936, in Reading, PA, the oldest of six daughters to Dorothy Miller and Lee Roy Matthew.

She spent her entire life in the Annville, PA area until April of this year when she moved to Chanute, KS, to live with her son and daughter-in-law because of poor health.
Pat graduated from Johnstown High School in 1953 in Johnstown, PA. In the late 1950’s she married Walter “Sonny” Sweigart. In this union two sons were born. Walter and Pat divorced and she was married to Herb Browning, they too were divorced.

Pat grew up in the Lutheran Church, but during her adulthood she joined the Zion Evangelical Church, where she was an active member and church treasurer.

Pat spent most of her adult hood working at Warren shirt factory, as a seamstress and later at Keystone Clothing Manufacturing. After retiring, she worked doing cleaning on a part time basis.
