Frances Jane Daniel, 85, of Grand Island died Thursday, July 20, 2017, at home, with her loving family at her side.
A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Daniel Naranjo will officiate.
Jane was born Aug. 2, 1931, at Maryville, Tenn., the daughter of Harry and Winifred (Jose) Borden.
Survivors include her children, Dan L. Daniel and Janet (Marcus) Hird, both of Grand Island, Douglas (Joan) Daniel of St. Petersburg, Fla., Debra Daniel and Loretta Daniel, both of Grand Island, Brenda Daniel-Lubrano of Littleton, Colo., and Michael Daniel of Grand Island; a brother, Richard (Judy) Borden of Kansas; sisters, Marcia Hayes of Lincoln and Shirley (Chris) Killman of Kansas; and eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald D. Daniel; brothers, Bob, Ken and Joe Borden; and a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Daniel.
Jane was raised and received her education at McCool Junction. On Feb. 14, 1950, she was united in marriage to Donald D. Daniel. They lived in Columbus and Grand Island. Jane was employed by the Grand Island Public Schools for 25 years.
She enjoyed needlework and gardening. Her greatest joy was her family.
