Survivors were: her husband Joe Wayland Powell; two daughters Jodi and Janna; a granddaughter; a brother Scott Timmerman; two sisters, JoAnn Zimmerman of Oregon, and Roberta Cellini of Washington state; nieces, nephews; cousins; and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1976, and her mother Betty J. [Patton] Timmerman Haynes who died in 2007, and is buried in Chanute, Neosho Co., Kansas; and a brother Larry Timmerman.
