Evelyn (Hughes) Kirk - 1926-2017
Evelyn Hughes Kirk, loving mother and grandmother, was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania on August 28, 1926 to James and Adda Hughes, and passed away peacefully in Houston, Texas on July 13, 2017. She is now joyfully reunited with the love of her life, her husband of 67 years Clyde Vernon Kirk, II (1926-2014), and her son Marc Edward Kirk (1949-1981). Evelyn was also predeceased by her parents and 5 siblings. She is survived by her children Clyde V. Kirk, III (Joanne) of Cypress, Texas, Kathryn Kirk Jamali (Nasser) of Chamblee, Georgia, and Paul David Kirk (Diane) of Tampa, Florida; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was looking forward to welcoming her first great-grandchild next month.
A memorial service honoring Evelyn's life will be held on August 10th, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, TX. 77065. A private interment at the Houston National Veterans Cemetery will follow.
Evelyn was an avid lover of animals, especially dogs. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to an animal shelter, or animal rescue organization of your choice.
