Isabella married Colin Mckenzie on 28 March 1833 in Urray, Ross-shire, Scotand. He died prior to 1861 leaving her with 7 children. The widowed Isabella immigrated to New Zealand with her 5 of her children arriving in Wellington on 4 September 1865. On arrival she joined her brothers in Masterton.
