Brian Keith Hart passed away suddenly June 15, 2017.

Brian was born April 23, 1960, at Memorial Hospital in Fairbanks.

Brian was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and growing up in Alaska.

He much enjoyed the family cabin up the Salcha River and spent as much time there as possible.

He was an accomplished ivory artist and telecom installer.

He loved to travel and resided in several states at various times, with California and Arizona as favorites.

A telecom job in Long Beach that lasted five years was a highlight for him and provided endless stories, as did his stint at San Diego Military Academy.

Brian lost his legs to a tragedy in 1995 but survived to master wheelchair camping and other outdoor activities.

His resourcefulness was amazing, with an uncanny ability to upcycle things and make them useful.

Brian loved to laugh, tell stories, argue and fight.

In another life, he may well have had a career in talk radio.

He had immaculate handwriting and loved to make lists.

He was a true survivor and came back strong from every battle but the one with death, the battle everyone of us loses.

One who had befriended him in his final days spoke movingly of his last few hours, how gracious and tender and thankful were his final words.

According to Scripture, if a sinner asks for mercy, he receives it.

"Psalm 86:5, Luke 18:13. If he receives mercy, he is a new creation. 2nd. Corinthians 5:17.

A pardoned sinner at death is instantly transformed into the kingdom of his Lord and Saviour. 2nd.

Corinthians 5:8. Only a loving and forgiving God could have such a plan of salvation as this, and we trust that He drew him with the cords of love into the presence of His dear Son."

Brian Keith Hart, beloved son and brother, you will be missed.

A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at the Fox Grace and Truth Chapel, 2113 Old Steese Highway, in Fox, followed by a boat trip to the family cabin on the Salcha (weather, water and availability permitting).

Thanks to all who showed kindness to him, and may the Lord bless you richly.

Any inquiries can be directed to 590-8858.
