William (Bill) David McCall, Jr of Santa Rosa, California, entered heaven following a battle with Alzheimer's on Saturday, May 13, 2017, surrounded by his family. Born September 30, 1938, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he was the son of the late William D McCall, Sr, and Elva (Johnson) McCall. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Kathleen "Wally" McCall of Santa Rosa; along with three daughters: Terry and Kimberly (McCall) Brown of Fremont California, Kristen (McCall) of Santa Rosa, and Jeffrey and Karin (McCall) McLean of Santa Rosa; nine grandchildren, Deborah Fry (20), Hope McLean (18), Abraham Fry (18), Leah Brown (15), Macdalah Fry (14), Aaron Brown (13), Jackson McLean (9), Jayden McLean (7), and Macy McLean (4) and one sister, Bill and Linda (McCall) Burgess of Newark, California;and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives.

Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy (McCall) Rogers, and a granddaughter, Eden Leigh Fry.

Bill proudly served our nation for 20+ years in the United States Marine Corps (Capt 03), including a tour in Vietnam. While in the service, he attended Army Language School in Monterey where he learned to speak fluent Mandarin Chinese. Following his military service, Bill embarked on a long and successful civilian career.

Bill worked as a banking executive at NorCal Savings and Loan and then Great Western Savings and Loan in Santa Rosa. Bill was the Executive Director of United Way of the North Bay, and he founded Master's Touch Mortgage Corporation.

Bill Enjoyed years of owning and flying a Cessna Cardinal aircraft out of Sonoma County Airport. He was active for many years in Rotary Club International.

Bill was a man of strong faith, and served the Lord in many capacities in churches throughout his life, most recently as a member of Santa Rosa Bible Church. Bill also served as a Sonoma County Law Enforcement Chaplain.

In his retirement, Bill enjoyed traveling the world with his wife Wally, and good friends. Bill was an avid reader, enjoyed being active with Ham Radio, watching Chinese-language television, and he had a liking for new technology of all kinds. Though the greatest joy in his retirement was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, brother, and friend. Bill was admired and loved by many. He will be greatly missed.
