KEITH M. MUNDAHL, age 91, of Luverne, died Saturday, July 15, 2017, at the Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth. He was born June 17, 1926, in Luverne, to Rev. J.O. and Harda (Larson) Mundahl. Keith was baptized at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Luverne. He graduated from Luverne High School in 1944. Keith left with his friend Orv Jordahl the day after graduation for the U.S. Navy boot camp at Farragut, ID. He served his country during WWII on the USS Beckham. After he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy, he attended St. Olaf College, in Northfield, MN.

Keith married in 1949 and in 1952 he moved to Los Angeles, CA. From that marriage he was blessed with two sons, Mitchell and Stephen. On May 17, 1990, he married Shirley Ahrendt in Chandler, AZ. They were united in marriage by her son, Rev. Larry Stoterau. Keith retired from the California State University at Northridge, CA. After his retirement he and Shirley moved to Luverne in September of 1991.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Luverne; and a lifetime member of the Luverne VFW. He greatly enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins & Vikings with his friends Dallas Bowron and John & Brenda Call.

Keith is survived by his three children, Mitchell L Mundahl, Oxnard, CA; Dennis and Nancy Stoterrau, Redwood Falls, MN; and Rev. Larry and Linda Soterau, Orange, CA; Xavier and Riki Suniga, Spring TX; a granddaughter and seven grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Shirley; son Stephen K. Mundahl in 1969; brother, John T. Mundahl; and a sister-in-law, Mary J. Mundahl.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Funeral will be 10:30 am Friday at St. John Lutheran Church, in Luverne, officiated by Rev. Gary Klatt. Burial with full military honors provided by the Luverne American Legion & VFW will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.
