Funeral services for Elizabeth Thompson Rich, 92, will be at 10:00 a. m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home conducted by rev. Alton Vaughn.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, with the assistance of Mike Wallace, Jason Wallace, T. J. Wyatt, Travis Hudson, Jennifer Wallace and Debra Becerra serving as pallbearers.
Of Native American heritage, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Chatman and Fannie (Reese) Thompson.  She was born November 29, 1924 at Ardmore and passed from life to life everlasting Tuesday, July 18, 2017, in an Ardmore convalescent home.
She and Claude Rich were married March 28, 1949 at Ardmore, Claude passed away January 15, 1997.  A member of the Church of God, she had been employed at Lake Murray Lodge and at the Excelsior and Cook Laundries prior to her retirement.  She especially enjoyed going to church, reading her Bible and being with family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by two brothers, Jessie B. and Jim Thompson and two sisters, Cecelia and Lillie Wallace.
Survivors include a nephew, Jacob Thompson; nieces, Kathie Martin, Vurner Jean Townsend, Bobby Jo Fowler, Marion Richards; great-nephews, Mike and Jason Wallace; great-nieces, Jennifer Wallace and Sharon Postoak; great-great-nieces and nephew, Katelin, Destiny, Elizabeth, Hannah, Baylee and Joseph; great-great-great nieces, Jayden and one on the way, Neveah.
A time of visitation and support will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home
