Deloris Jean Lawson, 72, of Wichita Falls went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, July 3, 2017.
A Celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Texoma Cowboy Church.
Deloris was born on December 8, 1944 in Denton to the late J.W. and Fannie Mae (Mathison) West. Deloris was lovingly raised by Fannie Mae and Alvin Ray Kruger. She was a loving wife for 45 years to Marty Lawson. Deloris was active in REACT in the 1980’s. Her greatest accomplishment in life was being an awesome mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved bringing her family together for barbeques and parties in her back yard. Deloris was a fun-loving person who loved to dance and sing, passing it on to the next generation. Deloris was an excellent seamstress, and enjoyed feeding the ducks at Lucy Park. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Bobby West, Earl West and Alvie Kruger; sister Helen Elvington; grandson Marty Elliott; and son-in-law Ricky Elliott.
She is survived by Marty Lawson; daughters Deanna Kruger and husband Michael; Sheila Wood and husband John, Lisa Cardwell and husband Mike, and Sherry Elliott; grandchildren Sadie Elliott, Waylon Kruger, Amber Knapp, Christen Doyle and husband Joe, and Courtney Allen and husband Josh; great-grandchildren Aurora, Tali, Justan, Kaitlyn, Alyssa, Penny, Winter, Genesis, Connor and Chloe; sister Sylvia Riordan; and her companion Randy Dunson.
The family will receive friends after the service at Lisa Cardwell’s home, 4311 South Leighton, Wichita Falls 76309.
