RICHLAND-Dwight Williams, age 73, of Richland, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at his home.
Dwight was born August 1, 1943, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield, to Stanley and Inez (Myers) Williams. He graduated from the Ollie Attendance Center of Pekin Community Schools in 1961. Dwight then served in the Army National Guard for a few years. On July 28, 1972, he married Sandra Kay Weber at St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota. A lifelong resident of the Ollie and Richland communities, Dwight was a lifelong farmer, starting at the age of 16. He started driving a truck for Bradley Young in 1998 and then for Adrian Trucking. He was a member of Mother Cabrini Catholic Church and enjoyed watching the Cubs, Iowa Basketball, visiting with people, going to coffee at Loriann's and the state of Nebraska.
Survivors include his wife: Sandra of Richland; daughter: Renee (Curtis) Riess of Conroy; two sisters: Sue (Herb) Mohr of Sigourney and Ann (John) Diede of Wenatchee, Washington; three nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2017, at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church in Richland, with Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Burial will be at Richland Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota, where there will be a wake service at 4:00 p.m.
