Virginia Mae Quidor Kesey Turner Adank left this world peacefully in her home on July 15, 2017 at the age of 94, with family by her side. She was preceded in death by her brothers Tom and Robert, and her sister Kathryn, and by three husbands: Emit C. Kesey, Robert Turner and Gaylord Adank.

Virginia did what no parent should ever have to do; bury their children. She buried 4. Randy, Rodney and Ritchie Kesey and step-daughter Lliana Adank.

Virginia is survived by two sons, Leonard and Steve Kesey, and their respective spouses Elaine and Joann. She is also survived by 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, 3 nephews and 6 nieces.

Virginia was born on January 12, 1923 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to Edward T. Quidor and Pearl Ann Pierce. The family moved to Oregon in 1939 in a 1934 Nash 6. She graduated from the Eugene High School in 1941. During high school, Virginia befriended Doris Kesey and subsequently met her future husband, Doris' brother Emit "Cad" Kesey. The young family lived in Junction City, Harrisburg and Coburg before moving to Tulare, California and finally to a dairy farm in Porterville, California. Cad died suddenly at the age of 38 from a cerebral hemorrhage, leaving Virginia to raise 5 boys. She returned to Eugene to be near family. Virginia then married Robert Turner, however they later divorced.

Her final marriage was to Gaylord Adank, and they lived in Florence, on the Alsea River in Waldport and then settled in Veneta. Gaylord passed away in 1985.

Virginia worked as a registered nurse at the old Sacred Heart Hospital on the neurological floor.

She enjoyed the outdoors and seeing wildlife. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, gardening, church activities and spending time with her family. In her later years, she enjoyed watching birds at her feeders, and trying to identify the different species that stopped to eat.

Virginia always welcomed visitors and made many friends throughout her life. She had a good sense of humor and a quick wit, which she employed frequently to the delight of all. Virginia was loved, and will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

Services will be held on Monday, July 24 at 1 pm in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 88068 Huston Road in Veneta. Viewing will be from noon until 1 pm. Interment will be held following the service at Rest Haven Memorial Park and Funeral Home located at 3900 Willamette Street in Eugene.
