Age 81, formerly Erie, daughter of the late Pasquale and Phyllis D'Aurora Perfetto.

Jeannette was a charter Member of the Italian American Women's Association (IAWA) in Erie, a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Viera, Fla., St. John the Evangelist Catholic Council Women (CCW) and St. George Bocce League in Erie. She was an excellent baker who learned everything about baking from her mother and was well known for her Italian cookies.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mario G. Cioccio.

She is survived by her children, Maddalena C. Cioccio (Domenic) of Oakville, Ontario, Phyllis A. Weaver (Norman Jr.) of Melbourne, Fla. and Thomas J. Cioccio (Mary Kay Laird) of Brooklyn, N.Y.; grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Donato "Danny" Perfetto (Judith Ann) of Erie, Frances "Fran" Konkol (John) of Erie, Richard Perfetto (Kathleen) of The Villages, Fla., James Perfetto (Karen) of Erie, and Thomas Perfetto (Susan) of The Villages, Fla; nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Jeannette M. Perfetto Cioccio, 81, of Melbourne, Florida, formerly of Erie, Pa, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017. She was born on December 6, 1935 in Erie, daughter of the late Pasquale and Phyllis (D’Aurora) Perfetto.
Jeanette was a charter Member of the Italian American Womens’s Association (IAWA) in Erie, a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Viera, FL., St. John the Evangelist Catholic Council Women (CCW) and St. George bocce League in Erie.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She always took part in her children’s lives as a PTA President, Girl Scouts & Brownie leader and a soccer and hockey mom. Jeannette and her husband, Mario were avid bocce players of couples and individual leagues. She was an excellent baker who learned everything about baking from her mother. Jeannette and her sister were well known in Erie for their wonderful cookies.

Beside her parents she was preceeded in death by her husband, Mario Cioccio.

She is survived by her children, Maddalena C. Cioccio (Domenic) of Oakville, Ontario, Phyllis A. Weaver (Norman J.) of Melbourne, FL and Thomas J. Cioccio (Mary Kay Laird) of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren, Stephen C. Cioccio (Julia) of Burlington, Ontario and Andrew C. Cioccio of Toronto, Ontario; brothers and sisters; Donato “Danny” Perfetto (Judith Ann) if Erie, Frances “Fran” Konkol (John) of Erie , Richard Perfetto (Kathleen) of the Villages, FL, James Perfetto (Karen) of Erie and Thomas Perfetto (Susan) of the Villages, FL. She will also be remembered by numerous loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Jeannette’s Family wants to thank the many caregivers from Senior Partner & Vitas Healthcare who showed much kindness and compassion, Donna, Clara and Patty cared for our mother as their own.

Friends may call at the Brugger Funeral Home, 1595 West 38th St. on Thursday, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service on Friday morning at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
