Luther “Steve” Wilson, 70, of Chickamauga went home to be with his Lord July 16, 2017. He was a member of Peoples Baptist Church. Steve served as Deacon in several area churches. He has been a member of Strollers Car Club since its beginning.
He is preceded in death by his father; Silas Wilson.
Survivors include his loving wife, Carrie Wilson; mother, Irene Wilson; sons, Darryl (Vicki) Wilson, Robbie (Angel) Wilson; sister; Sandy (Mike) Cordell; brothers Stanley (Kathy) Wilson and Levon (Connie) Wilson; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 20th at 2 pm, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Foster, Bro. Craig Westbrook and Bro. Larry Underwood officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 19th from 12-8 pm and Thursday from 11 am until the service time. Interment will follow in the Calvary Gardens Cemetery.
