Kerry Glen Edwards was born in Topeka, Kansas on November 1, 1969 to Robert Lee Edwards and Wanda Robbins Watowa. He passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Texas City, Texas at the age of 47.
Kerry is survived by loving wife, Kristina Edwards; two daughters, Taylor Edwards of Tacoma, Washington and Savannah Edwards of Texas City, Texas; step-son, Tristan McDonough and wife Melissa of Bay City, Texas; step-daughter, Tiffany McKellar and husband Shane of University Place, Washington; father, Robert Lee Edwards and step-mother Roberta Gold-Edwards of Aurora, Missouri; mother, Wanda Robbins Watowa of Topeka, Kansas; a brother; two sisters; seven grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Kerry served in the United States Army during the Gulf War (1988 until 1994). Once leaving active duty, he continued to serve his country in the United States Army Reserve until 2002.
Before meeting Kristina, the love of his life, and settling down in Texas, Kerry traveled the United States as on over-the-road truck driver. He enjoyed seeing and exploring new places any chance he got. Kerry loved the outdoors and never passed up an opportunity to go hunting or fishing.
Visitation for friends and family will be at Carnes Funeral Home, Texas City, TX on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 2-4pm with a 4 pm Memorial Service.
A Military Burial with Honors for Kerry will take place at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, TX at a later date.
