Douglas Lawrence Morris passed away July 17, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Greenville, TX and retired from the Navy as a Master Chief after 30 years of service.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, William Morris and Jewell Anderson. He is survived by his loving wife , Bobbie Elaine Zern Morris; daughters, Carol Ann Earle (Jim) of Henderson, NV and Kathy Lynn Pounders (Ricky) of Olive Branch, MS; sons, Terry Morris (Jesse) of Germantown, TN and Jimmy Morris (Jenae) of Piperton, TN; sister, Carolyn Cancilleri; two brothers, Ronnie Morris, Sr. (Emmy) and Whit Morris (Kathy) of Baton Rouge, LA; seven nephews, five nieces, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 20 from 5 until 7 PM with a Rosary Service at 7. A Mass will be at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church Friday, July 21, 2017, 10:00 AM. Officiating will be Msgr. J. Carson LaCaze. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers are: Ronnie Morris, Jr., Robert Morris, Gregory Cancilleri, Paul Oberle, Dominic Mainiero, and Victor Mainiero.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to LBDA (Lewy Body Dementia Association.
