JoAnn Cox, 72, a lifelong resident of Lake City, FL passed away peacefully on July 14, 2017, at the Suwannee Valley Haven Hospice Care Center.

She was born on January 7, 1945, to the late George E. Cox and Dora Bragg Cox. She was a graduate of Columbia High School, a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, and had a long career with Wal-Mart in Lake City, FL.

She enjoyed church, travel, potted plants, cats, and regular trips out to eat with her "lunch bunch".

JoAnn is survived by her sister Glenda Cox Seabaugh and husband Van, nephews Keith Seabaugh, Kent Seabaugh and wife Pam, step- grand-nephew Chad McNair and friend Ashley, step-grandniece Erin Collins and fiance Gage, and step-great grandniece Breana. Several cousins and their families, and numerous other friends also survive.

Funeral Services for JoAnn will be conducted on Friday, July 21, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. (one hour prior to the services) at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be considered to the charity of their choice. Arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S. HWY, Lake City, FL, 32055.
