Opel Peters Flora, age 90, of Route 1, died Tuesday, August 28, 1990. She was a long time and faithful member of the Antioch Church of the Brethren. Mrs. Flora was preceded in death by her husband, Jonas E. Flora. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Rachel F. and Walter Barnhart, Huldah F. and John B. Flora, all of Boones Mill; Mavis F. and Warren Boone, Rocky Mount; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be conducted 12:00 noon Thursday at the Antioch Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Gerald and Rebecca Baile Crouse officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Antioch Church of the Brethren Memorial Fund for Heifer Project International, c/o of Route 4, Box 735, Rocky Mount, Va. 24151 or to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
