Steven S. Boyd, 61, of Danville died Sunday, July 2, 2017, at his home, due to natural causes.
Born Sept. 4, 1955, in Jamestown, New York, he was a son of the late David L. and Catherine (Hammond) Boyd.
He was a graduate of Mecklenburg High School and attended East Carolina University, both in North Carolina. Steven worked as an editor and writer with the Highland Journal in Boone, North Carolina.
A naturalist and artist, he loved doing pen-and-ink drawings, especially of nature and landscapes.
Surviving are a brother, Michael Boyd, of Illinois; and two sisters: Deborah Boyd Arrowood of South Carolina, and Emilie Hamilton of Massachusetts.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg.
