She married her sweetheart Sylman Berry at an early age. They were married for 45 years before he preceded her in death in 1999.
She is survived by her three sons, Jack (Christa) Berry of Yawkey, Jimmy Berry of Alum Creek, Bob (Dawn) Berry of Cedar Bluff, Va.; seven grandchildren, Christopher Berry, Monika Berry, Wesley Berry, Whitney Berry, Hunter Berry, Kelsey Berry, and Rebecca Sutton; three great-grandchildren, Sydney Berry, Colton Berry, and Aubrey Berry; and two brothers, George Ball and Johnny Ball both of Big Ugly.
She was a loving, compassionate and Godly woman who put God and family first above all earthly things. She loved the excitement of her Christmas lights and the joy it brought to others. She loved to watch and feed her birds. She was an avid WVU fan.
"Susie" was a long time member of Danville Church of Christ. She worked many years serving the elderly in our county. She also did bookkeeping for local businesses.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with Richard Runyon officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
