Kyle E. Howell

Kyle E. Howell, 77, of Hendersonville died Friday, March 2, 2007 at the Brian Center following a lengthy illness.
Born in Pikeville, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Tommy Howell, Sr. and Barbara Luster Howell.
He was also preceded in death by a brother Jake Howell.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was the onetime owner of Hendersonville Starter and Generator Service, was a longtime employee of Banks Brothers Construction and retired from Dupont in 1985.
He was a member of Valley Hill Baptist Church and a former member of the VFW post #5206.
Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Ruth Keathley Howell; one son; two daughters; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; six brothers and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, in Thos. Shepherd's Church Street Chapel. Dr. Robert J. Floyd, Rev. Tracy Fletcher, and Rev. Danny Pridmore will officiate.
Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military graveside honors conducted by the Hubert M. Smith American Legion Post #77, Hedrick Rhodes VFW Post #5206 and Chapter #14 of the Disabled American Veterans. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel and at other times will be at the home.
