She married Elmo A. Ford February 2, 1934. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple June 11, 1946. Together they ran a dairy farm and raised turkeys for many years. Honored citizens of Wallsburg, they owned Ford Mercantile for 37 years and enjoyed the association with everyone in town.
A great cook, she made many quilts, Afghans, and crocheted doilies for her children and grandchildren. Enjoying a good family picnic, she loved nature and outdoors.
Reta's children: Nelda Muir, Carolyn (Paul) Wilson; daughter-in-law Karma Ford; son: Howard (Diane) Ford; sister: Lila Robey; niece: Faye (Keith) Mecham; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 11 great great-grandchildren survive.
