Janet C. Watkins, 72 of Brunswick passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 15 at Brunswick Cleveland Clinic.
She was born May 1, 1945 in Kimberly WV to Paul and Bettie (Williams) Ashby.
She graduated from Montgomery H.S. and later earned her teaching degree from West Virginia Tech.
Janet was a retired math teacher at Strongsville H.S. and also worked for Little Bears Day Care in Brunswick.
She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Lafayette.
Her love of family and church were most important to her.
She is survived by her
Daughter Cora (Jay) Carroll of Brunswick
Son John (Andrea) Watkins of Uhrichsville
Son-in-Law Alan Watt of Polk
Grandchildren Abigail, Isabelle, and Emma Lee Watt
Sister Diana (Jim) Garris of Mount Nebo, WV
Brothers Donald (Jan) Ashby of Sommersville, WV
Denny (Ramona) Ashby of Kanawha City, WV
Ray (Kay) Ashby of Lookout, WV
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Louis, daughter Teresa Watt, sister Wanda Lewis, and brother Bobby Ashby.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July, 18 at 3 PM at Bethany Baptist Church, 7040 Chatham Rd, Medina, OH 44256.
Pastor David Zammert will officiate.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi.
Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service (1-3 PM) at the church on Tuesday
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Baptist Church Missionary Fund, in care of the church.
