Beverly Sue Montgomery went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2017. Beverly was born on December 18, 1936 in Mulhall, Okahoma.

Beverly and Max were long-time Ardmore area residents and members of the First Baptist Church of Ardmore. Beverly was an accomplished watercolor artist and a signature member of the Southwest Watercolor Society. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Texas Women’s University. Beverly studied with many renowned artists in her travels through the US, Europe and Mexico. She taught art to young and old alike for three decades at the Goddard Center in Ardmore and Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ollie Max Montgomery; her parents Elmer and Gladys Diehl, and her sister Jean Gill Diehl. She is survived by her twin sister Barbara L. Skinner of Alta Loma, California and her brother Don E. Diehl of Mulhall, Oklahoma, two sons Kelly J. and Clay D. Montgomery; their spouses Karen and Dalynn and four grandchildren; Rachel, Ryan, Robin and Travis.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Craddock Memorial Chapel with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
