Mrs. Winnie Jeanette Brannon Morris of Hartford went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Westside Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 87.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb with Rev. Johnny Shepard officiating. Interment will follow in the High Falls Assembly of God Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. At all other times the family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Carol Eubanks, 581 N. Morris Street, Slocomb AL.

Mrs. Morris was born February 14, 1930 in Geneva County to the late George Washington and Elvira Smith Hatcher. Jeanette was a dedicated woman of faith, loved her Lord and was a member of High Falls Assembly of God Church for many years. She was a devoted wife, adoring mother, caring grandmother and great grandmother who will be profoundly missed.

In addition to her parents, her first husband and the father of her children, Ernest Lee Brannon; second husband, Fred Morris; son, Ronnie Lamar Brannon; three sisters: Blondell Benefield, Esther Mae Cadenhead and Juanita Palmer; and brother, Lehmon Hatcher all preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters: Carol Eubanks and Ann Helms and her husband Keith, both of Slocomb; one son, Jimmy Brannon, Black; grandchildren: Anthony Eubanks (Mandy), Jason Eubanks (Katie), Allison McAllister (Scott), Terri Singletary (Chad), Melanie Messer (Tom), Robin Long (Danny), Timothy Brannon (Angie), Brittany Magouyrk (David), Josh Brannon (Krystal), Justin Latham (Erica) and Summer Hires; several great grandchildren; one sister: Jean Simmons, Geneva; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the entire staff of Westside Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center for the love and care that was so freely given to Mrs. Morris during her illness.
