Louisa and John raised their family in Windsor Forks, Hants County, Nova Scotia. They lived, at least for some time, in the house John was raised in and it is believed his father, William Hart built. John was a lumberman and a farmer. Kate (Hart) Tracey wrote in a letter dated April 12, 1956 to her first cousin Everard Hart, “I had one nice Mother if ever there was one and I had a good one and I had a good father too. I was his pet in the family.” John Hart died January 11, 1915 and Louisa (Vaughan) Hart died February 20, 1921.
