He was currently an active member and past trustee of American Legion Post 347 in St. Clair, MO. He was a member of the Legion Card Club and enjoyed the fellowship of the many friends he played cards with. Jack was a cowboy at heart and he was only fifteen years old when he left home to ride bulls and broncs in the Professional Rodeo Circuit and continued to do so for about five years. During his working career he was employed as a shipping clerk at Missouri Equipment Company in St. Louis, MO, retiring after thirty-five years. He was also a member and retiree of Sheet Metal Workers Local 102 of St. Louis, MO. Jack was also a past member of the St. Clair Saddle Club and in his younger years, had enjoyed riding and showing horses and racing pony chariots. Jack loved to fish, hunt and work in his garden.
