Mrs. Betty Mae "Monk" Hatcher a resident of Montgomery Alabama expired July 10, 2017. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 11am from Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. lnterment in Brassell Cemetery.

She leaves to faithfully cherish her memories: five loving sisters, Dorothy Lee Hatcher, Yolanda E. Lee, Diane Jones all of Montgomery, AL; Annie P. Massenberg, New York, NY; and Johnnie Ruth Williams, Hendersonville, NC; two loving brothers, Rochelle Nichols Jr., Bronx, NY and Larry (Doris) Nichols. lncluded among her sisters-in-law are Shirley J. Nichols and Cynthia Nichols.

She enjoyed the happy privilege of having a host of nieces, nephews, great niece and nephews, as well as great-great-nieces and nephews, which includes her very special great nephew, Keyon Nichols, as well as her most cherished nephew-like son, Kirk Hatcher.

She also enjoyed the loving attention of two special cousins Gilbert E. Baldwin and Grace Brown. Special longtime friends and neighbors counted among her personal treasures are- Tillie Lanier, Henry and Pinkie Moore, Carolyn Jackson, Essie Franklin, Dorothy Smith, Rev. Donald and Vera Harris, Rebecca Miller, Nettie Salter, Beverly Henderson, Mildred Ash, Bernice Woodgett, Eleanor Woodgett, Otis & Jackie Moore, Linda Riggins and Clarence Wilson.

The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral services. Published in the Montgomery Advertiser from July 12 to July 14, 2017.
