Marjorie “Margie” Mae Smith, age 72, of Meshoppen, PA, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA.
Margie born on February 11, 1945 in Towanda, PA, the daughter of the late Clyde J. Sperry and Mildred Corson. She attended and graduated from Sullivan County High School with the Class of 1963. She married Charles E. Smith Sr. on May 20, 1985. She worked as a trimmer at the Meshoppen Dress Factory. Margie loved watching soap operas and reading books. She enjoyed reading mysteries, law, forensics, and justice novels. She loved watching birds and she loved animals especially her dog Pocko. Margie was a caring family woman who enjoyed giving advice, to asking family and friends. She loved her family and very much enjoyed being surrounded with her family.

Besides her husband of 32 years, Margie is survived by her son Carl Stanley Shoemaker Jr. of Glen Lyon, PA; son Charles Leo Shoemaker of Glen Lyon, PA; daughter Patricia Ann Glemser of Sweet Valley, PA; son Charles E. Smith Jr. and his wife Desiree of Plymouth, PA; and daughter Samantha J. Coyne of Plymouth, PA. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Margie was a private person and she wished to have an intimate family memorial service.
