Mildred Kincaid Cornett, age 92, of Falls Mills, VA, passed away peacefully Sunday July 16, 2017 at her daughter's home in Pounding Mill, VA. She was born in Beckley, WV on December 13, 1924. She married Calvin Mack Cornett of Crumpler, WV in 1944. She was a member of the Northfork Baptist Church in Northfork WV and was also a member of the Fort Maiden Springs Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was an avid fisherwoman and lover of nature. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Bessie Morton Kincaid, husband Calvin, sisters Mary Kincaid Houchins and Evelyn Kincaid Blair, and Brother Robert Kincaid.
She is survived by: Her sister Wilma Kincaid-of Jacksonville, FL, Daughter Kimberly and husband Charlie Lawson of Pounding Mill, VA, Son Calvin Mack Cornett Jr. and wife Libbie of Richmond, VA, Sister-in-law Muriel Kincaid of MacArthur, WV A, Brother-in-law Elmer Blair of Fort Pierce, FL,
and three grandchildren Olivia and Chas Lawson, and David Cornett. Special caregiver Mrs. Ingrid Clem of Claypool Hill, VA.Loyal canine companion of nine years: “Harley”
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield, WV with Pastor John Haun a close family friend officiating the service. Those wishing to attend the graveside services are asked to meet at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m.
