Aunt Jean was my dad's older sister. When Uncle Joe died, part of her went with him. For the remainder of her days I will always believe that she couldn't wait to go be with him. They were like 2 peas in a pod. If you saw one of them, the other was not far behind. Throughout 52 years of marriage they faced alot of hardships but remained true to each other.
Aunt Jean was predeceased by her parents Lewis(1967) and Annamae Vennell(1993)and her oldest sister Annamae(who died at 5 months of age in 1931 from pneumonia) as well as her brother Edgar Vennell(2005) and her beloved son Joseph Jr.(1978).
Survived by a large and loving family of 3 children and 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Her surviving children are: John Michael Maurone of Delran, Sharon Lee Maurone of Salisbury, Md., and Jeanie Marie Hoffecker of Hainesport. Auntie is the proud grandmother of Lisa and her husband, John DeRosa, Michelle and her husband, Rob Trani, Michael Hoffecker, Jacqui Maurone, Joseph C. Maurone III, and Shawn Maurone, and great-grandmother of Gina & Mariah Trani and Anthony and Dominic DeRosa.
Aunt Jean is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Maragaret Virginia Bair of Berlin,N.J.,Louise Barth of Camden,N.J.,Louis Vennell Jr.(my dad) of West Berlin, N.J.,Katherine Bakley of Salisbury, Maryland, Mabel Uron of Barrington,N.J.,and Alvin Vennell of Mission, Texas.
Aunt Jean was a great lover of country music, especially Conway Twitty. Oh and did she love her some Elvis Presley. She was also very proud of our Indian heritage as well. Auntie collected many things, among them cut glass of any kind, collectible plates and dolls, Elvis memoribilia......
