I have been sitting here, doing prep work on fruits and vegetables, for later eating, while I watch Rachel Maddow on the internet. I have an absolutely gluttonous Pekingese named Sarah, and for some strange reason, she decided that she needed some sliced raw jalapeno peppers. I let her lick one first, and she quailed, but went for it anyway. She chewed it up, and appeared somewhat disconcerted, but she asked for another one any way. I gave her two more slices, probably a total of a teaspoon of raw jalapeno. She is indeed an absolute indiscriminate glutton, but she usually turns her nose up at salsa (I like it hot.) 5/11/2017

I had been wanting a particolored Pekingese since I saw one in a magazine advertisement for something in 1976. I finally found one in 2006. There was a breeder in Mountain Home. That is why I named her "Serendipity". It was unexpected good luck, seeing that listing. I went out to the cattle ranch to buy her sister, who was black and white. I looked at three of the six pups before her, and she waited me out. She just laid there and never took her eyes off of me. When I was done with the third sibling, she looked at me and clearly said, "Well, are you ready to take me home yet?" The dog picked me.
