Bob was born May 20, 1946 in Goessel, Kansas to Frank and Eva Nickel. Bob graduated from Central High School, Springfield, Missouri and Calvary Bible College, Kansas City, Missouri, with a bachelors degree in Pastoral and Biblical Studies. Bob pastored several churches in Southwest Missouri and Central Kansas for the last fifty-five years, he was the founding Pastor at Grace Calvary Fellowhip in Wellington, Kansas and Mission Director of Grace To Ukarine Mission. His passion was serving as the hands and feet of Jesus in many ministries, including Grace To Ukraine, the Salvation Army, and prison and nursing home ministries. He loved to sing, laugh, and build relationships with people.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Nickel; three children, Dan Nickel, Debbie Holden and husband Jay, Ted Nickel and wife Lorie; eight grandchildren, Ethan Holden and wife Rachel, Konrad Holden and wife Ashley, Hannah Holden, Henry Holden, Jaykob Nickel, Madison Nickel, Elise Nickel, Brayden Nickel; five brothers, Charles Nickel, Jim Nickel, Steve Nickel, John Nickel, and Paul Nickel; one sister, Joyce Rempel. He was preceded in death by his wife, LeAnn Nickel; parents, Frank and Eva Nickel; one infant son, Timothy Nickel; and a brother, Jack Nickel.
